Software Engineer

Groupee, Inc. is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our organization. The role is a full-time position based at our headquarters located in Seattle, WA. Groupee is the leader in community technology for web sites (www.groupee.com). The Software Engineer will be involved with the design, and implementation of our Groupee community platform and its current and future modules, including discussion forums, chat, and payment management system. Experience in model-view-controller servlet design, object oriented development, and dynamic database driven web applications required. Technical skills wanted: Java, Servlets, JSP, XSL/XML, web technologies and multi-tiered systems. Linux, Tomcat, and J2EE experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree. Candidates must enjoy a fast-paced environment and possess strong team leadership and software engineering skills. Working knowledge of various methodologies such as UML, XP, and Booch desired.
